RE: New to site

I haven't bought one yet, though I would get a lot of points for looking. Did come across a Harley 1200 for a good price. what do you think of a 1200 for a first bike? Ride On! Steve

RE: New to site

I did fine on the Buell, but can see where a bigger bike might be a handful. While I WANT a Dyna, a smaller used bike might be the ticket. I agree on the non-beater bike as I was concerned if I did get a beater I would have zero clue if it was even safe and if it even had the right amount of wheels (lol).

RE: New to site

I am brand new to biking (and this site) having just passed the Riders Edge class last weekend. I am totally confused as what bike to buy for my first one. On one hand I would love a Dyna but am a bit worried its a bit much for someone who has only ridden in a parking lot at 15 MPH and has 20 miles under his belt. Your thoughts are much appreciated. Ride On Steve

RE: Since I don't have an American V-Twin

I am new too biking just having passed my Riders Edge class, so I am qualified to ride in a parking lot at 15 mph. Anyway, I could never understand the "Biker Bar" thing. There are no "Car Bars" so why Biker Bars? Bikes have saftey issue when you are sober I could not imagine adding a few beers to that. Just my thoughts. Ride On
